Hello-

As we approach the start of the summer sessions, we wanted to provide a reminder of the guidance and requirements for those who may be traveling internationally before arriving on campus for a session this year. Note this guidance is in alignment with the CDC guidelines regarding international travel.

Keep in mind:

  • ALL students arriving from international travel are required to be tested for COVID-19 between 3-5 days after arrival in the US and should monitor for and report symptoms of COVID-19 for 14 days after travel.
  • Students arriving from international travel who have not been fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO-authorized COVID-19 vaccine are required to quarantine for 7 days if the COVID-19 test obtained between days 3-5 are negative, or for 10 days if no testing is done.
    • Please contact us at housing@wfu.edu to request additional information on University quarantine options.
  • Students who have been fully vaccinated with an FDA or WHO-authorized vaccine are not required to quarantine after arrival from international travel but should monitor for and report any symptoms that develop.

As always, you should seek evaluation if at any point you develop symptoms while in our community. For reminders about the Q&I process, and how to document your vaccination with Student Health, please refer back to our May 20th message.

Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns at housing@wfu.edu or 336.758.5185.

Thank you,

Zach Blackmon, Ph.D., MBA
Associate Director of Operations
