The Good Kind of Positive
The responses to last week’s survey were encouraging, as 90 percent of you felt appreciated and believed success was achievable and within your control. But when it came to carrying a clear sense of purpose in life, 40 percent felt they lacked one. The “adults” that put out this newsletter can certainly relate, and please know that you’re not alone. We’d love to hear more from you, and from more of you. Here’s this week’s survey.

Open Up and Say “Awwwww, Yeah!”
OK, we’re just talking about gates opening, so we’ll settle down. But given the past year, it’s kind of a big deal. This Saturday, all University gates return to normal access hours (Polo Road, too!). The gates are open, and cards are not required from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. And after May 1, you won’t need to use the family access form between those operating hours.

Rumor has it…
…all wrong. If you’ve previously tested positive, don’t wait to get vaccinated. The CDC recommends vaccination whether you’ve already contracted the virus or not.

For Our International Students
We understand your concerns around vaccine guidance, and we are closely monitoring all the updates. As more information is available, we will be sure to keep everyone up to date.

Use Your Indoor Face
Please keep wearing your masks when you’re in the presence of others, especially indoors. If you’re outside by yourself enjoying the lovely weather, you don’t need to — unless you need it as a pollen shield.

If You Liked Their Memes, You’ll Love the Texts
Thrive is looking to slide into your texts with helpful tips, advice, resources and a host of valuable information to support your personal wellbeing from a wide variety of campus partners. Simply text “Thrive” to 833-230-8900 to receive three weekly texts from DeacsThrive TXT (text “stop” to opt out at any time). Message and data rates may apply. More information at thrive.wfu.edu/programs/deacsthrive.

And always remember… Mother’s Day is next weekend, and a macaroni necklace isn’t going to fly.
