Dear Wake Forest Undergraduate Students,

This is a reminder that results of pre-arrival COVID-19 testing must be submitted to Wake Forest by Jan. 19.

Testing details can be found on the Our Way Forward website, and a walk-through of the result submission process is available here.

If you’ve already submitted your test results, thank you.

As mentioned in previous emails, students must also:

  • Self-quarantine and monitor for symptoms for 14 days prior to accessing campus or other Wake Forest facilities
  • Return to using the SneezSafe tool for daily symptom screening for 14 days prior to accessing campus or other Wake Forest facilities
  • Provide flu vaccination documentation in the Student Health Portal

Details on these requirements are available on the Our Way Forward website.

If you do not fulfill these requirements, your DeaconOne card will be deactivated, restricting access to campus, including gate access, residence halls, academic buildings, dining areas and more.

In addition, if you do not fulfill these requirements will need to quarantine after arrival until requirements are met. For students who live in University housing, quarantine will be at the Best Western Plus or Hawthorne Inn. You will be required to pay for testing, meals and other items as needed. If you have not taken a COVID-19 test before arrival, quarantine will last at least 24 hours and perhaps five days or more, depending on how soon test results are being processed.

Off-campus students who are returning early to the Winston-Salem area should take care to follow the quarantine protocol after arriving and should limit their interactions with students who do not live in the same dwelling.

Questions should be submitted through the Our Way Forward website or to the Call Center at 336-758-7500 weekdays from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Eastern. Please do not reach out directly to the Student Health Service.

Thank you for your attention to these matters. By meeting the requirements above before arrival, you will enhance our chances of starting the semester well and completing the semester successfully.

Sincerely,

Penny Rue
Vice President for Campus Life
