Greetings Demon Deacons,

I write to you today to give you an update on a process Residence Life and Housing is bringing to a close, and potentially needs your assistance with. As many of you know, when we closed last year, we did so at Spring Break with some students not returning to campus to retrieve their items.

Many elected for the university to pack and store their items with the understanding that they would be able to retrieve them upon their return to campus. Every effort was made by our office and our contracted moving company to accurately get items to the student’s fall 2020 housing assignment.

We realize that some property, including boxes and other items too large to box, may have been inadvertently delivered to the wrong address. Many of you have reached out to our office to make us aware of these issues, and we have worked to get those items back to their owner(s).

We are asking that should you have any items in your possession that do not belong to you and were delivered to your assignment by our moving contractors, to please notify our office immediately. You can do this by emailing housing@wfu.edu and providing us with your name, your housing assignment, and a contact phone number where you can be reached.

Residence Life and Housing will be closing out our claims process soon, and we want to ensure that the property that can be found and accounted for is returned to its rightful owner. We thank you for your assistance in getting this process closed out, and for helping your peers get their property back.
Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns at housing@wfu.edu or 336-758-5185.

Best –

Wesley Todd, MPA
Associate Director of Housing
