I hope this message finds you well today. We are writing with an update on our housing selection process. If you have looked at our housing availability list, you have seen that our inventory is getting limited.

At this point, we are entering the last day of our first round of housing selection. Remaining sophomores are encouraged to review the availability list and consider how they might adjust their roommate groups to match the number of beds available in a unit. As noted in our previous communications, “during our first round of selection, the number of members in a roommate group must match the number of available beds in a suite or apartment”.

On Wednesday, July 29, we will run our final round of housing selection, where students can select an individual bed or form a roommate pair to select an open double room. This round of selection will begin at 1 p.m. and new selection times will be available by 11 a.m. on Wednesday. We do anticipate having enough housing for each of our students, however, that will require continued flexibility and understanding from students as we work to fill the remaining beds.

Should you decide to remain at home for the semester, please let us know quickly so that we can update your record and remove your housing and dining charges from your student account.

President Hatch reminds each of us that “the fall semester will be different than anything we have experienced.” Our office remains poised to help each of our students find a vibrant community where they can be academically and socially engaged in responsible ways.

Please don’t hesitate to contact us at housing@wfu.edu or 336-758-5185. We are fielding a large volume of calls, but we promise to get back to you as quickly as possible.

We look forward to welcoming you home soon!

Best –
