Wake Forest Prorated Fee Refunds
On May 28, Wake Forest sent emails to parents and families regarding fee refunds. On June 1, Wake Forest sent emails to students regarding fee refunds. The emails differed depending on the student’s refund scenario. Below is a summary of the main points of those emails.
As a result of the suspension of normal on-campus operations and the move to remote learning in March, Wake Forest University is offering prorated refunds for fees related to facility access and campus services that were unavailable to students through the remainder of the spring semester. These partial refunds are for student fees associated with health, wellbeing, student activities and parking, where applicable.
You are eligible to receive a partial refund for applicable student fees.
You must take the following actions to receive your refund:
- Read the instructions for allocating your refund.
- Log on at refunds.wfu.edu/fee-refund/ with your WFU user ID and password to see the total amount of your refund, and provide information for how to direct your refund.
You are required to take action to initiate the refund process. We encourage you to visit refunds.wfu.edu and discuss your preferences with your family before providing direction to the University.
Questions about this process may be directed to the Wake Forest Call Center at 336-758-7500 (5/28-29 and 6/1-4 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Eastern) or submitted online.
A number of families are choosing to contribute some or all of the refund amount to the Wake Forest Crisis Response Fund. The Crisis Response Fund was established to provide support to members of our community experiencing financial hardships resulting from the COVID-19 crisis. Please know that the University created this opportunity humbly in response to sincere offers to help from the Wake Forest community, and we do not expect all families to direct all or even part of their refund to the Crisis Response Fund.
We realize that this past semester was especially challenging for students and their families, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we adapt to changing circumstances.
My sincere wishes for your continued health and wellbeing,
Hof Milam (’76, MBA ’91, P ’00, P ’01,
