Dear WFU/Venice: Casa Artom students and parents/families,

We hope that your returns to the U.S. have gone as smoothly as they could given the circumstances. We know that many of you still have questions regarding housing, academics, and other considerations. Please know that multiple teams at Wake Forest are working together daily to support your transition back to campus. To that end, you should have all received an email yesterday from Residence Life & Housing with more information about the housing process.

With respect to the continuation of your studies, we are coordinating with the relevant academic departments here on campus so that they can serve as a supplemental resource to your Venice faculty who will be delivering their course content in an online format. Likewise, our Academic Technology unit is assisting as we move to finalize plans in this regard.

Furthermore, we are working on ways to sustain community among your cohort as you complete your semester on the Reynolda Campus. As these plans come together, they will be shared with you all in greater detail prior to the resumption of classes following Spring Break. In the meantime, we hope that you will be considering your own ideas to complement ours.

Thank you for your continued understanding of this very challenging time and know we share the same goals for fully supporting you as resume your studies in Winston-Salem.

David F. Taylor
Assistant Dean for Global Study Away
